We weren't surprised when Parkway Brewery's, Mike Pensinger called us about a cooler for his brewery in Salem Virginia. Mike took a tour of ThermaSteel a few years ago and recognized the potential. The new Parkway cooler is 30' x 60' and 12 feet high. The panels are 5.5" inches thick and rated at R-36. Which a complete thermal break between the inside and outside of the cooler, the beer will be kept a a constant temperature of 40 degrees using less energy than typical coolers this size. Mike says he was able to save about 50% of the cost by using ThermaSteel. Although ThermaSteel doesn't make doors, Mike was able to order insulated doors (not yet installed in photos) which arrived a few weeks after they assembled the cooler. The entire cooler was assembled by Mike's crew at Parkway Brewery.
